In reply to the communication I received from the Colonial Office on the 27th instant, I beg to state that I shall be prepared to start for St Helena on the 20th of February next.
As I have but recently arrived from the Falkland Islands and in consequence have but a small amount of cash at my disposal, I may request an advance of salary for the purpose of procuring a suitable outfit for the East.
